Ingredients 12 to 15 apples ( Lobo or McIntosh) washed 1 cup water Preparation: 1. Cut the apples into pieces (keep the skin on but remove the bud underneath the apple) transfer into a saucepan. Add the water (cover the bottom of the pan). 2. Cook until the flesh is tender (starts to breakdown). 3. Sieve the preparation to remove the core and skins to obtain a sauce. *Can be frozen |
Apple Tips: * Wash the apples thoroughly since the skins are left on while cooking. * The redder the apples the pinker the applesauce! * The riper the apples the sweeter the applesauce! Variation : Add some pears to the apples ! |
